Lambs first run out of 2016-17

09 July 2016Andy Morrell popped up with the winner seven minutes from time at Pack Meadow as the Lambs fielded 20 different players against their Midland Premier League hosts, who took the lead at the end of the first half via well taken strike from [number 10] who had seen a long range effort cannon back off the underside of the bar a few minutes earlier.

The Lambs had had a number of chances to take the lead in the opening 45 minutes but Ross Dyer and Greg Mills were unable to make their efforts count forcing the home keeper on a number of occasions with headers or shots on the 3G pitch.

Morrell made 10 changes at half time and on 62 through Steve Tomassen notched the equaliser with a far post header into the far corner, from a corner. (1-1).
Sam Watts, soon to take his place as a part of the full time scholarship programme at the Lamb struck right footed into the top corner on 68 (2-1) before Coleshill's [number 18] headed the equaliser in the next move of the match from close range after his teammates shot came back off the bar (2-2)

Connor Taylor's mazy run down the right on 83 set up the winner, feeding Morrell from the edge of the area to finsih from 12 yards (3-2).
