A tougher test brings another win

FT: Hinckley FC 0    2 Tamworth

15 July 2014

Dale Belford fielded 9 signed players in the first half against newly formed Hinckley AFC at St. John's Park where The Lambs had defeated Hinckley's landlords at the weekend.

Tamworth were given a sterner test by their tennant-hosts and there was some good movement in the final third as both sidestried to open the scoring, but it took a 6 yard finish from Shane Clarke following a disputed corner on 40 to give the visitors the half time lead.

HT: Hinckley FC 0    1 Tamworth

Belford made four changes at the break and the same level of urgency and hunger was evident with Hibbert looking to add to his pre-season tally with a number purposeful shots or forays forward, helped in no end by a persistant team around him.
Wholesale changes came with just Hibbert and 'a.n.other' remaining from the previous 75 minutes and only Hibbert finished the game which saw a second goal ensure the win when '19' headed home powerfully from a corner in the final throws of a thoroughly enjoyable match.
