First day, first point for Laws men
13 August 2011 Adam Boyes rescued a point for Barrow against Tamworth on the first Saturday of the Blue Square Bet Premier season. Veteran striker Iyseden Christie gave Tamworth the lead a minute after the half hour mark with a drilled penalty after a handball from Bluebirds defender Adam Quinn (penalty pictured below) 
The hosts levelled on 69 minutes when Boyes got on the end of Louis Almond's left-wing cross and converted from 12 yards out. There were few chances to win the game as both sides seemed to settle for a point at Holker Street.  Tamworth Team:
