Gary Mills, was delighted with his sides performance on Tuesday night (and by the sounds eminating from the changing room the squad were too) which netted all three points against Gateshead at The Lamb. Iyseden Christie's 56th minute winning close range header from a 'corner we worked on at half time' separated the sides but it could have swung more in Tamworth's favour had the woodwork and a resolute visiting defence not got in the way. "I thought we thorough deserved the win," said Mills, "it's exactly what was needed after a couple of bad weeks with a display from the team such as we know they can produce. We will be looking to build on it further come Saturday when Rushden and Diamonds visit." |
