Play-Off Preview in The Southern League Central Division.

Monday Apr 29, 2019

Who will give themselves a chance of promotion and join already promoted Kettering with Play-Off victory.

With the regular league season finishing last Saturday and Tamworth ending up 12th, we take a look at the 2 play-off match ups and see who can progress as the Central division’s playoff champ and give themselves a chance in joining Kettering in getting promoted.

Pre-season favourite’s, King’s Lynn ended up 2nd so play Stratford at home. As with all these playoff matches these games are always close and difficult to call. The bookmakers have King’s Lynn favourites at 4/5 with Stratford 13/5 and the draw 5/2. Available betting codes can help with bonuses and offers.

Form could be a good indicator of how the game could go and King’s Lynn have won 7 of their last 10 matches and have not lost at home in the league since September! Stratford on the other hand have won 6 and lost 4 of their last 10 games and away from home have lost their last 2 matches.

In the two league meetings between these teams, King’s Lynn won at Stratford 2-0 and the game at King’s Lynn ended in a 0-0 draw.

In the other match, 3rd place Stourbridge face 4th place Alvechurch. Stourbridge are again slight favourites at 4/5 with Alvechurch 5/2 and the draw 13/5.

Stourbridge limped into the playoffs with only 1 win in their last 7 matches but did have the best home record in the league with 47 points from their 21 home games. Alvechurch won 5 of their last 10 games and drew 2.

An entertaining 3-3 draw a couple of weeks ago when these teams met at Stourbridge show just how close this game is to call.

Both games will be tight affairs but King’s Lynn will be hoping their home form and experience will take them to the next level.
