Pep or Klopp for the Premiership run in.

Monday Apr 22, 2019

With the Premiership title race drawing to a close who will hold their nerve and take the title.

An exciting end to the season is certainly expected with both Liverpool and Manchester City fighting hard to take the trophy. Both teams have continued winning under pressure and keeping the race alive, but who will do enough to get over the line.

The bookmakers have Man City favourites at 4/7 and Liverpool the outsiders at 11/8. This Ladbrokes promo code will help with outright and match betting odds.

Liverpool currently top the table, 2 points clear of their rivals but have played one game more. They have three games left.

 Liverpool
 Huddersfield (H)
 Newcastle (A)
 Wolves (H)

All three games are most certainly winnable, as all three opponents will have little to play for as Huddersfield are already relegated and Newcastle and Wolves are both safe and not gunning for European spots.

However, sandwiched between the Newcastle game, Liverpool have a mouth watering Champions League semi final 2 legs against Barcelona which could make them take their eye off the domestic prize.

Manchester City could be said to have the upper hand as if they win their final 4 matches then the title is theirs.

 Manchester City
 Manchester United (A)
 Burnley (A)
 Leicester (H)
 Brighton (A)

With these fixtures the biggest threat is against local rivals United, but after their humiliating 4-0 defeat at Everton this weekend, City will be hoping to brush their cross city rivals aside in their game in hand this coming Wednesday.

So it does look like the Premiership will go down to the wire this season. One slip up will most likely cost one of the teams. Will Pep’s experience carry City on to retain the title or can Klopp’s enthusiasm carry Liverpool across the line. The next few weeks will definitely be exciting.
