The Hoops winger is expected to feature in the Euro 2020 qualifiers against Kazakhstan and San Marino this week.
Burke was acquired on a season-long loan from West Bromwich Albion.

Prior to the Park Head move, the winger had a fluctuating career in terms of success despite being overwhelmed with talent.

The sumptuous transfer move to RB Leipzig from Nottingham Forest didn’t go in the expected way as the youngster found most of his time on the sidelines.

And during his spell at Albion, Burke suffered a severe hamstring injury which limited his appearances to just six.
Ever since he stepped into the Scottish League, the Scots forward has made an immediate impact which led to his international call-up now.

He said, “I don’t know. I mean, I don’t regret anything that’s happened, including being called up back then. “But the expectations and the weight that was placed on my shoulders at the time was a lot. That’s also just part of football though. When you go to clubs for big money these expectations come with it.

The youngster expressed his delightfulness after getting back his form at Park Head. He added that it was his privilege to get back to the national side after a long time.

Burke has made nine appearances for Scotland’s U-21 team during the two-year hiatus. In fact, he went on to score four goals.

“I thought that was a real boost for me, going with the 21s and going to really important tournaments. The coaches — the manager Scot Gemmill and Malky, too — gave me the confidence and belief in myself again,” he added.

The 21-year-old has scored four goals so far out of nine appearances and the erstwhile manager Brendan Rodgers has heaped praises on the youngster.
