Club Info - Turnaround

Tamworth Football Club is pleased to announce a brand new partnership which will offer a range of fantastic opportunities to young people across Tamworth. The club will be joining forces with Turnaround, an initiative started in 2007 by the Tamworth police and the Community and Learning Partnerships. Other organisations involved include the Connexions service, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) parent support workers, T3, Tamworth Borough Council and Barnado's. The project aims to support young people, particularly those who are vulnerable or at risk, by providing education and activities.

Tamworth Football club will be involved in many projects to assist in the development of the youth of Tamworth and the surrounding area.

The Big Kit Giveaway
Deep In the depths of the Buster Belford's (TFC's Kit Manager) store rooms were many of the old kits worn by the Lambs first teams, reserves and youth teams over the last 2-3 years. The club has now found a good home for these kits worn by some of Lambs fans favourites and those of the junior teams aspiring to join their hero's on the hollowed turf at the Lamb. Tamworth Turnaround Team will be handing out kits for the youth of Tamworth to play 5a-side and 11a-side games organised to provide the opportunity to get involved in activities, where many would have nothing else to do except play on the streets.

Tamworth Football Club is proud to offer the opportunity for the youth adults (aged 17+) of Tamworth to training as stewards, and join the match day staff team at the Lamb as we host teams from all over the country.

Those who join the course will be trained by Tamworth Football Club through its training partnerships to achieve an NVQ Level 2 in spectator safety.

Please Contact Us if your interested in Stewarding at the Lamb as their as still places available on this season's intake.

Volunteering at The Lamb
A long tradition in Non League football, are the match day volunteers that often go un-noticed. However many volunteers earn the respect and thanks of the Club for their valued support, and in turn enjoy free entry on match days and quite often behind the scenes access at the Lamb.

For the first time as part of the Turnaround effort TFC will be targeting the youth of the borough for roles in match day hospitality, prize draws and match day program selling.

Volunteering at the Lamb is an excellent way to build your CV, gain useful contacts and references from some of Tamworth's most well respected entrepreneurs and Tamworth Football Club's hard working operations team.

Opportunities to volunteer at the Lamb are available all year round; Please Contact Us if your interested in becoming part of the Lambs success!!

More to come...
Over the course of the season more projects, opportunities and initiatives will be announced, so stay tuned to Community News section and the Turnaround section of the website for more details.
