South Staffordshire College & Tamworth FC is offering young footballers the chance to see how far their sporting talent can take them, while offering the security of a college-based education.
Working with newly promoted Tamworth FC, the College is setting up a Football Academy where students will benefit from a full-time sports course, either at level 2, the GCSE equivalent or at level 3, the ‘A' level standard, dependant on their academic ability. The courses run for one year at level 2 and two years at level 3. In the afternoons students will get professional coaching with the Lambs' full time coaches & gain a level 2 or 3 BTEC Sports qualification.
They will continue to play for their existing clubs if they wish but will also get the opportunity to prove themselves with Tamworth FC. So, if you are 16+, have the qualifications to meet our entry requirements, and are good at football, this could be your chance to hit the big time.
