After initially joining Stoke City Francis moved into Watford's Academy in July 2005 and made a couple of appearances for the first team. In 2006, went to Kidderminster Harrierson work experience but was released by Watford. He went on to join Halesowen Town, Willenhall Town and Barwell before rejoining he previous manager Marcus Law in the summer of 2011.
