Following the Conference League meeting this Thursday, the details fo the Football Conference Club Development Programme have been confirmed. Each club will be able to apply for upto £12k per annum for 3 years. The grant however has been confirmed as suspected to be 'match funded', meaning £12k will need to raised through sponsorship or donations to allow access to the entire fund each year.
The fund can be used for....
Pojects with: disadvantaged and minority groups, new football activity such as women and girls teams, keep fit or activity classes, work health-related such as obesity or anti-smoking initiatives, support for youth groups or the elderly.
Expenditure the grant does not cover includes: Land, Buildings, refurbishment, pitch or property costs, contributions towards permanent staff, vehicles, elite youth football and the application costs.
Project spend will be monitored closely to ensure each club spends the money appropiately and the spirit of the application from which the grant awarded is maintained throughout its lifetime.
