Donations for week commencing March 11th!

1 in 5 people are living below the poverty line in the UK today.
In Tamworth, like in all other towns and cities, there are people struggling to put food on the table. This can be due to low income or a sudden crisis such as redundancy or an unexpected bill and can mean parents skipping meals to feed their children or choosing between food and paying the rent.

Foodbanks help prevent family and personal breakdown by providing three days food to those in need.
Non-perishable food donated by the public is packed into emergency food boxes by volunteers and frontline professionals such as doctors or social workers then give vouchers to those in crisis.

Tamworth Foodbank is part of the Trussell Trust's UK-wide network helping local communities and churches to provide emergency help to thousands of people nationwide, every year.

 HOW CAN YOU HELP?
Tamworth FC Supporters Club will be working with the Tamworth Foodbank, based at Manna House, Glascote in March 2018 to encourage football players and families to donate during their visit to The Lamb.

 WHEN CAN WE DONATE?
TFCSC will set up a drop off point in the sponsors lounge every day between Sunday 10 March (afternoon and evening) and then Monday through to Friday from approx. 5pm – 8pm and in the clubshop on Saturday 17 March from 1pm – 3pm for anyone visiting Tamworth FC in any capacity to be able to drop off a donation to the Foodbank.

 WHAT IMPACT WILL IT HAVE?
If every person that passes through The Lamb on these two dates brings one item down it will add over 1000 items to the Foodbank which we think is pretty amazing. We encourage you to look through your cupboards for tins and packets of food that you can possibly do without or can easily replace.

 WHAT CAN I DONATE?
Non-perishable foods include; Cereal, longlife milk, fruit juice, tinned fruit, tinned vegetables, jam, biscuits, snack bars, instant mash potato, tinned pies, tinned meat or fish, pasta, pasta sauce, squash, coffee, tea, peanut butter, noodles....
