The Lambs have beaten off a number of competitors to obtain the signature of 25 year old midfielder Richard Baker who last season was on the books of Barrow FC. The midfielder who scored over 10 goals with the Bluebirds has also played over 140 games in the Football League having been on the books of Oxford United and Bury FC. Richard began career on books of Manchester United. The team is now taking shape and any further signings will be put on hold whilst Manager Dale Belford flies out to Bulgaria to play in an Old Stars Xl for Aston Villa who will be playing a Bulgarian national Xl in a game which will be shown live on Bulgarian TV. Former Lamb Lee Hendrie is also in the squad traveling to Sofia for the game. After the Bank Holiday weekend venture Dale will be back in the office on Wednesday looking to finalise a number of other potential signings. |

The Lambs have cut back on the number of pre-season fixtures that they had played prior to the start of last season. The following games have now been arranged but are all subject to change. The opening fixture is a short drive down the A5 to Atherstone Town on Tuesday 8th July for a game kicking off at 7.30pm. On Saturday 13th the team will be playing a West Bromwich Albion Xl away which will be played behind closed doors. Supporters will be able to watch the team on Monday 15th July when Kevin McDonald and former Lambs Manager Mark Cooper will be sending their full Swindon Town first team to the Lamb for a game kicking off at 7.30pm. |

The Lambs are pleased to announce that after spending two loan spells at the club 19 year old defender Matthew Regan has signed a one season deal with the club after his release from Nottingham Forest FC. Matthew has captained England at various youth levels including the Under 17 World Cup when England reached the Quarter Final. Prior to his spell with Forest Matthew was on the books of Liverpool for three seasons after they had paid Wrexham a nominal fee for his services. |

| Tamworth in the Community will be again holding a soccer school at South Staffs College, Croft Street, Tamworth from Tuesday the 28th May until 31st May inclusive. John Lewis at Home Tamworth is bringing the official Olympic Torch to Tamworth in The Community on Friday 5th April between 11am and 12.30pm at Tamworth College, Croft Street, Tamworth, Come and hold the official Olympic Torch and have your photo taken, keep the Olympic legacy alive.
