Dom Smith call up by FA of Wales 24/03/2015

Dominic Smith joins up today with the rest of the FA of Wales Under 21 squad for the game against Bulgaria next Tuesday at the Cardiff City Stadium. Dom who is on a youth loan from Shrewsbury Town has worked hard and deserves his call up. It does however throw a big spanner in the plans for the Lambs as they now have to plan for the big game at Chorley on Saturday without any of the regular centre halves. It does open the door for another new signing and New Zealander Dominic McGarr could be in line for a call up as it is week or so too early for Club Captain Paul Green to be considered.

The results of a scan taken on Monday of Dan Preston's skull will take a few days to come through but again it will be too early considering the extent of his injury for him to be selected despite his keenness to play. As shown last weekend against the Pitmen that whoever dons a Lambs shirt they will give their best and will still give the Magpies a good game on Saturday

Following the success of the Football Fun Days during February Half Term, Tamworth Football Club are set to run further Football Fun Days this Easter on the following dates: Wednesday 8th and Thursday 9th April Tuesday 14th and Wednesday 15th April

Firstly, many thanks for your interest in the Tamworth Youth Development Academy. The response has been magnificent and we are all looking forward to seeing local kids trial on The Lamb for their local Club! It seems that this has really caught the imagination of the local football community. Due to the popularity of the trials, we have decided to split the age groups and extend the length of the trial to give every player the best opportunity to impress and showcase themselves. As such please see the below changes…

Academy Development statement 03/03/2015

Parents Thanks for Community Soccer School 26/02/2015

After the last Community Soccer School we received the e-mail below which the writer has kindly allowed us to display on the website. We hope to run another Community Soccer School at Easter so watch this site for further details.

Just a quick message to say thank you to everybody for their time and effort involved in the 2 soccer schools this week. My son Jack Taft really enjoyed his time with Raj and was so happy with his football he won making new friends and playing amongst Tamworth players and management. Looking at the children's faces on leaving I'm sure everyone felt the same. Hopefully there'll be more of these great days in the future. Thank you to everybody Andrew James
